Stoke are considering a club-record £12million bid for West Ham striker Carlton Cole.
Hammers' supremo David Sullivan is willing to listen to offers for any player this summer apart from captain Scott Parker.
And striker Cole, who has seven England caps, could be sacrificed to generate transfer funds.
Potters boss Tony Pulis is desperate for more firepower and fancies 26-year-old Cole.
Upton Park boss Avram Grant believes a bid of £12m would be too good to turn down for Cole, who has a history of injury problems.
The cash from Cole's sale would enable West Ham to buy at least two new strikers of their own.
The Hammers have a strong interest in Argentine striker Milton Caraglio as revealed by Mirrorsport on Tuesday.
Caraglio, 22, who has an Italian passport, is set to be sold this summer by his club Rosario Central.
He is in Italy talking to potential suitors but is due in England next week to talk to Hammers' officials.
