City to tempt Milan for Brazilian defender

Manchester City are nosing around about the availability of AC Milan centre-back Thiago Silva.
The highly-rated Brazilian is one of the prized assets of the Rossoneri's aging back line, and it's understood that they fought off interest from Real Madrid who were keen on landing the 25-year-old before eventually plumping for Ricardo Carvalho.
But now, MilanNews.it are claiming that Roberto Mancini has also registered his interest in the defender and could be readying a monumental £33million bid.
While the offer would certainly tempt Milan, it's unlikely that City would be prepared to spend that kind of money seeing as they already have club captain Kolo Toure, Jerome Boateng, and Vincent Kompany as cover in that department.
