Spurs back in for Phil Neville

Harry Redknapp is ready to rock Everton with a second bid to snatch skipper Phil Neville before Monday’s transfer deadline.
MirrorSport understands the 34-year-old is interested in quitting Goodison for Champions League football at White Hart Lane.
Neville’s departure would be a hammer-blow for Everton boss David Moyes, who has already lost versatile midfielder Steven Pienaar to Spurs. But Redknapp is determined to land the former Manchester United man for his defensive abilities as well as his leadership – something the Spurs boss admits is in short supply in his dressing room.
As well as six English titles, the Bury-born star has also lifted the European Cup and three FA Cups and won 59 England caps.
Neville’s attitude, work-rate and willingness to play almost anywhere has made him one of Moyes’ most valued players.
The Scot dismissed Tottenham’s initial approach for the player, who has 18 months left on a four-year deal, earlier this month. But now Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is set for another bout of talks with Everton counterpart Bill Kenwright in a bid to change the position.
