Bridge staying at City

Manchester City have ruled out selling Wayne Bridge.
The former England left-back has been at odds with manager Roberto Mancini during the club’s American tour.
The Italian has splashed out £17 million on Lazio’s Serbian left-back Aleksander Kolarov leading to increasing speculation that Bridge would be on his way.
Those frustrations have spilled over in America where Bridge was overlooked in favour of 19-year-old youngster Greg Cunningham.
Bridge felt that he was being frozen out and wondered whether he had a long-term future at the club.
Four agents claiming to represent Liverpool have approached City in an attempt to gain the mandate to sell him.
But City moved swiftly to kill off speculation about Bridge’s future.
He was personally assured that Roberto Mancini has no intention of selling him and that he intends to build a squad with two players for every position.
Bridge, who turns 30 next month, has never considered asking for a move. After being given assurances about his future is happy to fight for his place with three years remaining on his contract.
