West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has finally landed Hull keeper Boaz Myhill in a £1.2million deal – and upped the heat on Baggies’ No.1 Scott Carson.
Di Matteo yesterday agreed a fee with the relegated Tigers for Myhill after a two-month chase, with Football Spy first revealing their interest.
"I'm delighted to welcome Boaz to the club," Di Matteo told West Brom's official website.
"He joins us at a good age with a good pedigree, having spent the last two years in the Premier League.
"I'm sure he will fit nicely into our goalkeeping department."
But the move will put real pressure on former England keeper Carson, with Myhill tipped to start the campaign.
