Baggies tie up West Ham star on loan deal

West Brom have signed West Ham striker Frank Nouble on an initial month-long loan, with the deal set to be completed when the emergency window reopens today.
The 18-year-old will be eligible for the home match against Scunthorpe tomorrow night but will be unavailable for Saturday's FA Cup clash at Reading due to his earlier involvement in this season's competition with the Hammers.
Head coach Roberto Di Matteo has entered the market as a result of Ishmael Miller's enforced absence due to an ankle injury and Jerome Thomas' four-match suspension.
Nouble, who arrived at Upton Park from Chelsea last summer for an undisclosed fee, has certainly caught the Italian's eye.
"Frank is an exciting young player who I am delighted to welcome to the club," he said.
"He can play in any of the three forward positions - down the middle, wide left or wide right - and we hope the next month is a fruitful one for the club and Frank.
"His main attributes are that he's powerful, quick and good on the ball, but we mustn't forget he is still very young."
