West Ham to complete £2m Piquionne deal today

West Ham boss Avram Grant will sign French striker Frederic Piquionne in a £2million deal today – after failing to land big-money target Loic Remy.
Grant’s on-off move for his former on-loan Portsmouth star ended when Lyon accepted a payment package.
An initial £1m fee will double based on achievements and appearances, with Piquionne on wages of £40,000 a week at Upton Park.
However the Hammers’ move for Nice star Remy looks doomed to failure as the French club want a huge chunk of the £12m tag paid up front.
