USA boss Bradley among favourites for Villa job

USA coach Bob Bradley is an inside tip to be named Aston Villa's new manager.
Bradley's side impressed in South Africa, topping England's group and the boss is known to be seeking a fresh challenge with no major tournament to prepare for in the next three years.
The fact that Villa's owner Randy Lerner is American puts the former Fulham target squarely in the frame to succeed O'Neill.
He would be expected to bring son Michael, currently at Borussia Mönchengladbach, along with him as a possible replacement for James Milner and also tempt Landon Donovan to the Midlands.
Meanwhile O'Neill's assistants John Robertson and Steve Walford are also reported to have left Villa Park, hinting that the manager's shock departure was not a spur-of-the-moment decision.
