David Beckham was involved in an angry confrontation with Toronto fans after he was pelted with toilet roll, streamers and a beer can in a match last night.
The LA Galaxy star was preparing to take a corner when the home fans rained their missiles down on him.
The ex-England captain then spotted the beer can on the pitch and retrieved it to show the fourth official.
Beckham had the last laugh though as he took the corner which was turned in by Landon Donovan to seal a 2-2 draw for the Galaxy in the first leg CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final tie.
Afterwards, the former Real Madrid midfielder said: "Tonight was a great atmosphere. The majority were here to enjoy the spectacle. It’s a shame some people spoiled it. It’s disappointing kids see it … but it was a great atmosphere."
Donovan's goal capped a great comeback for the Galaxy who had been 2-0 down inside 20 minutes.
But Beckham insisted: "I wasn’t worried at any point. Even at 2-nil down I thought we were going to create chances and going to score goals.
"Landon is a dangerous player. If you have players like that and they have chances, they’re going to capitalize on them. Great to have Landon back, a great player for us."
