Former Manchester United and England legend Ray Wilkins has claimed that both his old club and Manchester City paid too much for their Deadline Day stars.
Ray, who was speaking at a 'Sponsored By You' event organised by England team sponsors Nationwide Building Society, said:
"Robinho isn't worth the British transfer record. I think he's a good player...But £32,5m is a lot of money and the jury is out on him, from my point of view."
He also predicted that Manchester City wouldn't break into the Premier League's top four this season, and that there could well be personality clashes between Sir Alex Ferguson and Bulgarian superstar Berbatov this season.
Watch the full interview below. And check back later in the week for Ray's thoughts on England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Andorra and Croatia.
