Vieira accepts FA charge

Patrick Vieira will almost certainly be given a three-match ban by the Football Association tomorrow after "reluctantly deciding" to accept a violent conduct charge.

The Manchester City midfielder was charged after appearing to kick Glenn Whelan between the legs during Tuesday's 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw with Stoke.

A club spokesman said: "Patrick Vieira has reluctantly decided not to contest the FA charge of violent conduct."
