Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed first choice central defenders Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are both injury doubts for Manchester United's Premier League match against Blackburn on Saturday.

But the United boss revealed both are desperate to start to get over the defeat to Liverpool last week.

"They both want to play after the disappointment of losing on Sunday of course," he said.
