Watford bid to extend loan deals for Manchester United and Arsenal stars

Watford will ask Manchester United and Arsenal to extend the loan deals for Tom Cleverley and Henri Lansbury.

United youngster Cleverley, 20, and Gunners’ midfielder Lansbury, 19, have been an instant hit at Vicarage Road.

And Hornets’ boss Malky Mackay wants to keep them on beyond their initial loan spells. He said: “We are talking to their parent clubs about it. It depends on their ideas for the players. I know both players are happy.”
