Roy Hodgson has brought in Terry Burton at West Brom after Michael Appleton quit.
Burton, 59, has been appointed on an interim basis until the end of the season after Appleton took over at Championship Portsmouth.
He will work at The Hawthorns with boss Hodgson, assistant Keith Downing and Dean Kiely.
Burton, who bossed Wimbledon between 2000-2002, has been assistant manager at both Watford and Cardiff.
He has most recently been working as a scout for Arsenal.
