West Brom boss Tony Mowbray wants to solve his goal-scoring crisis by making a loan move for Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson.
Rock-bottom Albion have the worst goals record in the Premier League and Mowbray has now made an enquiry for Simpson (above), 20, who is regarded as one of the Gunners' best prospects.
Arsene Wenger is now committed to loaning out some of his best young players after their Carling Cup exit.
