West Brom ready to bid £2.5m for Leicester's Matty Fryatt

Roberto Di Matteo is to launch a £2.5million raid on Championship rivals Leicester for striker Matty Fryatt.

West Brom boss Di Matteo is ready to test the Foxes’ resolve to keep Fryatt, 23, with an ambitious bid in the New Year.

Albion are desperate to bring in more firepower to boost their promotion drive despite being one of the leading scorers in the league.

And Di Matteo is a long-term admirer of Fryatt - who has fired 10 goals already this season for Nigel Pearson’s side.
