West Brom to make improved offer for Bolton's Abdoulaye Meite

Tony Mowbray is ready to make an improved offer of £2m for Bolton defender Abdoulaye Meite.
The West Brom boss will double his original bid for the Ivory Coast man as he desperately bids to boost his defence.
Meite is free to leave Bolton after falling out of favour under Gary Megson and Albion have already failed with an offer of £1.25m plus Paul Robinson.
But Mowbray will make a renewed bid after his move for West Ham defender James Collins was rejected.
