Wigan refund for fans could be just the start, says Kevin Kilbane

Kevin Kilbane reckons Wigan’s decision to refund fans following their horror show at Tottenham could see more Premier League stars hit in the pocket.
Roberto Martinez’s flops have agreed to refund supporters who travelled to White Hart Lane to witness their side’s 9-1 drubbing.
But Kilbane, now at Hull, fears his ex-Latics team-mates have set a dangerous precedent that could see top-flight stars doling out more cash in the future.
He said: “There are a few tight lads in that dressing room, so they won’t be happy about having to pay up! The precedent has been set now.
“Wigan going to Tottenham was always going to be a tough match for them.
“On any given day a team can get beaten by five or six, but nine just exaggerates everything.
“I sent a text to keeper Chris Kirkland. They are all down, but he played well and let in nine goals.
“But I’m sure they have enough characters in the dressing room to bounce back.”
