Wigan striker Zaki a shock transfer target for Real Madrid

Wigan striker Zaki is the shock name on Real Madrid's wanted list for the January transfer window.

The Spanish giants are desperate to sign a goalscorer after losing Ruud van Nistelrooy to injury.

They know Manchester United's Carlos Tevez and Chelsea's Didier Drogba will be near impossible to prise away. Other targets include Inter Milan's Hernan Crespo, Genoa's Diego Milito and Real Zaragoza's Oliveira.

But they have been impressed by Egyptian striker Zaki, who would be the easiest to snap up in January.
