Wigan to make £5m bid for Djibril Cisse

Wigan are ready to answer Djibril Cisse's 'come and get me' plea by making a £5million swoop.

Cisse (above), 26, wants to return to England after two years at Marseille and his Welsh wife and young family have already moved back to the North West.

Bolton and Manchester City have cooled their interest, leaving Wigan in pole position to sign the ex-Liverpool star.
