William Gallas set to be recalled by Arsenal for Champions League tie

Arsene Wenger last night hinted he is ready to recall bad boy William Gallas for tomorrow's Champions League tie with Dynamo Kiev.
Gallas has been stripped of the captaincy after outspoken attacks on his team-mates but Gunners boss Wenger appeared to offer the French defender an olive branch after Arsenal's defeat at Manchester City.
Under-fire Gallas has trained at the club's London Colney HQ for the past two days and worked with the first team yesterday and there may be a way back for him because of Arsenal's injury problems.
But Wenger wants him to apologise - and that could be a sticking point as it is believed the Arsenal defender stands by his outspoken remarks.
Gallas has also been offered an escape route by Paris Saint Germain, who are ready to offer him a six-month loan deal if he joins them in January. Wenger said: "Cesc Fabregas will be available for Tuesday and maybe Gallas.
"The most important thing for us is to keep strong, united, focused and not panic.
"We haven't lost our football in three days, you know, so therefore let's go and win our next game. There's no need to be desperate."
Gallas was left out in the cold after his bitter attack on his team-mates and did not want to play at City after being stripped of the captaincy.
A source close to Gallas said: "He is a very passionate guy and says what he feels.
"He is sorry for the fuss it has caused although his comments were honest. But I can't see him apologising."
Keeper Manuel Almunia may keep the armband until the end of the season.
