Wilson Palacios says he owes everything to Tottenham for helping him through the heartache of losing his brother in May.
Palacios was devastated when the teenager, then 16, was kidnapped and murdered in Honduras.
The midfielder, who joined Spurs from Wigan in January for £12million, was allowed to miss the final three games of last season because of the tragedy.
He is now back in England and says the support the club gave him has put his career back on track.
Palacios said: "It's been an incredibly difficult time. My family have been very supportive, as have the club. That support allowed me to grieve and spend time with my family and friends.
"I couldn't help but notice the fans chanting my name in those games towards the end of last season, so they're very close to my heart.
"Their support has helped me get through this time."
