Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has made a £2million offer for Hamilton Accies starlet James McCarthy to outbid promoted rivals Burnley.
The deal is £1m guaranteed and the same again, based on appearances by the attacker voted the best young player in Scotland.
Burnley will table an official £800,000 bid for Accies' Scotland Under-21 left-back Brian Easton today, hoping to complete a swift capture.
