Wood turn down County - Laws

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws expects want-away centre-half Richard Wood to turn down any big money offers made by Notts County.
The ex-Owls captain's current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and he has already turned down an improved deal to extend his stay at Hillsborough. League Two big spenders Notts County have shown interest in the 24 year-old, while Coventry and Ipswich are also thought to be interested.
Brian Laws told the Yorkshire Post: "Everybody knows that Notts County will probably be paying fairly good money that we couldn't match, but is it Richard Wood's cup of tea? I would be surprised if he even considered it."
He added: "There is a two week opportunity where things have got to move quickly. While Notts County have made a move, we are waiting for others.
"No one has made a firm offer. At the end of the day, we have got to the stage where we might have to auction him."
