Reports from Germany have stated that World Cup star Paul the Psychic Octopus has died.

A spokesman for the aquarium where he lived said: He appears to have passed away peacefully during the night of natural causes.

"We may decide to give Paul his own small burial plot within our grounds and erect a modest permanent shrine.'
