What are the odds Andre Villas-Boas and Chelsea get turned over in Napoli? Derek McGovern's Bets of the Day
Andre Villas-Boas has been described as a dead man walking at Stamford Bridge but I’ve seen dead men with better career prospects than the Portuguese plonker. Some of them were in Chelsea’s team on Saturday.
AVB’s reign has been undermined by messages some Chelsea players are sending to their old gaffer Jose Mourinho. The ‘are-you-still-interested’ texts are believed to have flattered Mourinho, except for the one of Ashley Cole in his undies.
Villas-Boas is odds-on favourite for the Sack Race and it says something when you’re rated more likely to get the chop than Arsene Wenger, who has spent seven years ruining Arsenal compared to AVB’s seven months ruining Chelsea.
After Saturday’s horror show AVB said he has the unconditional support of owner Roman Abramovich. That suggests one of two things – he doesn’t know the meaning of unconditional or he doesn’t know the meaning of support.
The beleaguered Bridge boss is 7-2 with Hills to have left Chelsea before the cup replay at St Andrews and 4-6 not to be there on the opening day of next season.
Tomorrow night Chelsea take on Napoli. Midfielder Frank Lampard said after the shocking defeat at Everton that if Chelsea played as poorly against the Italians they would have a mountain to climb. Luckily Vesuvius is very handy.
Misfiring Fernando Torres is 5-1 with Hills not to start any of Chelsea’s next four games.
Tomorrow’s match (Hills): 7-5 Napoli, 11-5 Chelsea, 2-1 Draw. To qualify: 4-7 Chelsea v 5-4 Napoli.

No one should be surprised Liverpool have been drawn at home again in the FA Cup – drawing at home is pretty much all the Reds have done all season.
Hills are as short as 3-1 about Kenny Dalglish’s men winning two cups this season, which would be two more than Arsene Wenger has won in the last seven years and two more than Everton have won in the last 17 years.
I mention this merely to upset Everton fans. It’s a more effective way than speaking to them individually.
OG, the Kop’s close-season signing from Manchester United, went home from Anfield on Sunday with the match-ball and gets a 10-1 quote from Ladbrokes to net again in the FA Cup final.
To win the FA Cup (Hills): 5-2 Tottenham, Liverpool, 7-2 Chelsea, 7-1 Everton, 8-1 bar.
