What are the odds Woy Hodgson is the next Prem boss made wedundant? Derek McGovern's Bets of the Day
Roy Hodgson can’t win at home with West Brom, he couldn’t win away with Fulham, and he couldn’t win at all with Liverpool.
Yet the emu-faced Hawthorns chief is rarely high in the Sack Race betting.

You wonder how many West Brom fans are happy living with Hodgson as manager. About as many, I should think, as are happy living in West Bromwich.
Blackburn are only five points behind and arguably playing better, yet while Rovers boss Steve Kean is 11-8 favourite with Hills to be next to go, Hodgson is 40-1.
That has to be backed. Unlike Hodgson.
Further up the table – though not for long – there is little sign of Arsenal’s trophy drought, or Arsene Wenger’s whinge-athon, ending.
At Swansea on Sunday, the Gunners slipped to a seventh League defeat in 21 games.
That’s a loss percentage of 33.33 recurring – as Wenger’s excuses tend to do. The Gunners are 7-4 with Hills to finish in the top four.
Swansea’s win completed a 38,000-1 14-leg accumulator for a Hills punter from South Wales.
That’s better than my luck.
I backed Tim Howard for first goal-scorer in the recent Everton v Bolton clash.
Sadly, I put him in a double with Brad Friedel.

BET OF THE DAY
No man in the world has more courage than he who can stop after eating one peanut.
Get on QPR at 5-6 to beat MK Dons in their FA Cup replay on Tuesday.

Americans have an even poorer record in Celeb BB on foreign soil than they do in wars on any soil, so it’s no surprise to see Michael Madsen up for eviction.
Madsen has made some bad choices in his career.
He turned down the John Travolta role in Pulp Fiction, in which he would have starred opposite Uma Thurman, and accepted money to live in a house with Denise Welch.
In terms of embarrassing decisions, only dying his hair blond comes close.
During her time in the house, Welch has done wonders for the ratings – the Loose Women ratings.
Madsen showed a fatherly side to his character when teaching Frankie Cocozza how to shave.
The last time he’d held a razor on TV he was slicing off an ear – the last time X-Factor reject Cocozza sang on TV most viewers did the same.
Madsen faces two opponents in the eviction head-to-head... Georgia Salpa.
The balloon-jugged Irish model has also made some disastrous life choices herself, although sleeping with Calum Best is a mistake most women have made at some point.
Gorgeous Georgia is 1-12 with Hills to go, with Madsen an 11-2 shot.
On Friday, Natasha Giggs got the boot from Big Brother – for the second time in six months.
It’s a shame rat Nat didn’t survive the eviction head-to-head with Nicola McLean because you suspect if she’d stayed she’d have gone all the way.
First with Michael, then with Kirk, then with Big Brother.
EastEnders’ Natalie Cassidy is somehow favourite to win.
Hills bet: 3-1 Natalie Cassidy, 7-2 Gareth Thomas, 9-2 Michael Madsen, 5-1 Romeo, 7-1 Frankie Cocozza, 8-1 Denise Welch, 14-1 bar.
