Why I'm backing Liverpool's red men to overcome Arsene's diddy men
I wasn't sure yesterday whether Everybody Hurts was the new song for Haiti or the injury news from Anfield after the Mersey derby.
Someone asked me if the game was in 3D - it wasn't, but 3D was the hospital ward most of the players were ferried to.
It wasn't so much a football match as all-out warfare and Liverpool ended up winners, picking up three points and half of Abyssinia.
The game was so rough that when Liverpool's Soto Kyrgiakos made a two-footed challenge, one of the feet he used didn't even belong to him.
It's quite remarkable that Liverpool, whose season has reportedly been a sick joke, would right now be ahead of the great Arsenal in the Premier League table had they beaten the Gunners at Anfield in December. That was the game in which Arsenal had one shot and won 2-1.
As it is, Liverpool can close to within two points of the Londoners with victory at the Emirates tonight and you have to say they are over-priced at 11-4.
After Sunday's Drogba-inspired drubbing at Chelsea, 'Didier' is a dirty word at Arsenal but diddier is exactly what their players keep getting.
Walcott is 5ft 7in short, Arshavin is 5ft 8in short, Nasri is 5ft 9in short, and Arsene Wenger is about five players short of a title-threatening side.
Wenger's midgets have lost eight of their last nine games against the top two - they are Chelsea and Manchester United's bitches, and I mean no offence to bitches anywhere (you know who you are - I married you).
Liverpool by contrast have stuffed United the last three times they have met. That's the difference between the Scousers and the Gunners: Liverpool can handle the big games, Arsenal can't - and tonight is a big game.
Liverpool are 10-3 with Bet365 to finish the season higher than the Emirates diddymen.
