Liverpool will be facing a stiff B-test when they visit Birmingham this weekend

Nicole Carroll writes about Birmingham for MirrorFootball...

After a few losses, some Blues fans were crossing their fingers that Arsenal wouldn’t rip us apart when they came to town at the weekend. One draw later and the black clouds which were starting to form over St. Andrews have subsided, and we’re all doing the Wenger!

A point against the title contenders is a fantastic achievement, and it is only adding gloss to what has been a fantastic season. We’ve been up there all season, we’ve managed to go on an unbeaten run, we’ve got a fantastic home record and the fans are starting to enjoy being Blues fans, happy days!

Six matches to go until it all finishes, and we give a big bluenose welcome to Liverpool on Sunday. I know I’d rather taste three points at home rather than a chocolate egg.

The reverse of this fixture earlier in the season ended 2-2 and included the controversial N’Gog penalty. Now we face them on home soil, and with the fans in a vocal mood, expect plenty of chants pointed his way.

Once again, we face a challenge. Liverpool need to win every match now to keep the pressure on for fourth place, whilst we are playing for the highest finish possible. There is no denying the pedigree of their team, but we also need to acknowledge that they aren’t unbeatable - if Wigan can do it, then we can.

If we can show the determination and spirit displayed against Arsenal, then we should easily match them. I see the match as a goal fest at both ends, can we score the most we have at home this season? Lets hope so.

Liverpool will be facing the four Bs this weekend: banter, beach balls and brilliant Blues. I cannot wait!
