The Plugger vs... Roger Milla
You know how it is with celebrities these days - they're always trying to flog you something. Well, we thought it was about time they did something for us in return.
So, from now on, anyone wanting to hawk their wares on the pages of MirrorFootball will have to submit to an interrogation by The Plugger first.
If you want us to buy your DVD/book/video game/embossed tea-towel etc, then you need to tell us, amongst other things, if you've ever had sex in a football shirt. Seems like a fair deal, no?
Facing The Plugger today is: Cameroon World Cup legend Roger Milla
1) Who is the dirtiest player you've ever seen?
Fulvio Collovati - an Italian player at the 1982 World Cup.
2) What team do you have an irrational hatred of?
I don't hate any team. I was trying to think of a particular style and a team that plays it but I just love football, I love every team.
3) What's the weirdest place you've ever watched football?
Nowhere strange - I'm usually lucky enough to be in VIP areas.
4) If you could change one thing about the game, what would it be?
The penalty kick rule. I would make it a free kick where defenders could be in front of the ball.
5) What's the best dream you've ever had about football?
Winning the World Cup!
6) If you had your own football team, what would their nickname be? The Lions
7) Are you any good at football video games?
Not at all - even though I'm in one!
8) Have you ever cried because of a football match?
Yes - in a cup game in the '70s. We had lost 3-0 in the first leg; in the return game at home I scored three goals to equalise - and then missed a penalty...
9) Have you ever lied to your lied to your partner to go and watch football?
She's sitting next to me... But no, never!
10) What were your football superstitions?
I always wore the same underwear - but it was clean!
11) What's the best goal you've ever scored?
Probably the second against Romania in the 1990 World Cup.
12) What's the worst away trip you've ever been on?
To Ukraine in the 1980s - it was very cold.
13) What goal have you celebrated the most?
I think the goal I scored against Colombia. I've watched it over and over again.
14) Has a football kit ever featured in your intimate moments?
Never...!
15) What is the king of football food?
Pasta.
Roger Milla was plugging the Coca-Cola Celebration Award, which will be awarded to the player with the most memorable goal celebration in the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ . To mark this historic occasion, Coca-Cola will donate an extra $50,000 to its 'Water for Schools' program on the winning player’s behalf.
During the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ so far, 133 goals have been scored, raising $200,000 to fund the “Water for Schools” initiative in Africa. The 'Water for Schools' program is just one part of a $30 million legacy by Coca-Cola to provide at least 2 million people in Africa with clean water and improved sanitation by 2015.
