Jermain Defoe turns into a peacock, Evans and Drogba go Tekken and Francesco Totti gets an '80s makeover - the five best things we've found on the web today
It's 3pm! It's downhill all the way from here to knocking off time so we've gathered the five best things we've found on the tinterweb today to help the time fly.
1) We've often said that modern-day footballer resembles nothing more than a preening peacock (honestly - it's all we ever talk about down the pub), so imagine our delight when we discovered that Spurs striker Jermain Defoe has actually started dressing like one too. Check the second image above for proof (and click the full-screen icon to get the full effect).
2) The fall-out from Jonny Evans' disgraceful challenge on Didier Drogba at the weekend continues, with an internet wag re-imagining the kung-fu kick as a move from Tekken. Very good - although if it's not Modern Warfare 2 at the moment, we're not interested.
3) OK, so mash-up maestro Casetteboy won't be losing any sleep over it, but MonkeyMag's cut and paste job involving a kid's football match and commentary courtesy of dear old Motty our very own Mark Lawrenson raised a wry smile in the MF office at any rate
4) Continuing this weeks theme of girl-on-girl violence (hey - they started it, not us!), Who Ate All The Pies have unearthed this shocking example of referee baiting (and battering) from Brazil. It's enough to make Roy Keane wince.
5) We're not quite sure what the hell Francesco Totti is doing in this '80s-themed Italian advert for Vodafone, but he certainly got the good folk over at Kickette excited - and, frankly, that's enough for us.
