Strictly Come Dancing, David Beckham's X Factor and a Grim Grimsby fan - the five best things we've found on the web today

Yes it is Monday, and yet it probably is raining outside, but worry not dear readers, for we have gathered the five best things we can find on the internet to make your afternoon go that little bit quicker.

Here's today's Top 5:

1) We've all been to matches where we despair of our team so completely that it's hard to believe the players aren't doing it on purpose. Rather than just scream "you're not fit to wear the shirt" at the top of his voice this Grimsby fan has committed his thoughts to the internet. His open letter to the Mariners players contains many, many swear words and, as the warning goes, language of a sexual and/or offensive nature. It begins: "Let me just say that you have collectively reached a level of inadequacy and ineptitude that neither I nor modern science had previously considered possible," and gets much worse from there.

2) Clearly a secret X Factor fan, David Beckham has unveiled a new haircut to show his solidarity for underfire contestants John and Edward. Verdict? Distinctly average.

3) This cheeky fan gave the Moroccan supporters more to cheer about in one moment of japery than the team did in 90 minutes against Cameroon in their do or die World Cup qualifier on the weekend. For some reason his goal was ruled out and Cameroon won 2-0. (Props to Who Ate All the Pies for the spot)

4) This guy enjoying himself at the after party following the England v Brazil match on Saturday in Doha deserves all the publicity we can give him for a dance performance that would make even John Sergeant cringe. And you thought your dad was embarrassing...

5) And we finish with that old favourite, Manchester United players being made to look like berks with some clever sound editing over their interviews. Never gets old...
