Fame. WAGs crave it even more than they crave ridiculously expensive handbags, blinged-up Range Rovers or even the footballers they attach themselves to.

In the pursuit of elusive stardom the wives and girlfriends of our top players will do almost anything if it gets them on TV or in a magazine. For most WAGs there is no such thing as over-exposure - in every sense of the word.

So settle back, make sure no-one else is watching your screen, and enjoy our top 10 WAGs on film.

1) In this first clip Coleen Rooney confronts a problem we've all faced at one time or another. Yes it's that old chestnut: trying to park your Lamborghini in a normal-sized parking space. Oh the stresses and strains of everyday life...

2) God bless Peter Crouch: Tottenham's leading man, purveyor of fine robotic dancing moves and boyfriend of Abbey Clancy. Despite his ungainly appearance it's hard not to feel a touch envious of Mr Crouch, especially when his missus looks like this.

3) Mrs Cole has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons, but it's worth taking a look back and laughing along with her as we review some of the lighter moments in her rise to X Factor goddess and all-round WAG legend. Look out for Cheryl's unwitting re-creation of Jimmy Greaves' famous encounter with a dog...

4) I scream! You Scream! We all scream for Ice Cream! At least we do when Mrs Francesco Totti, otherwise known as Ilary Blasi is hawking it in this sultry ad.

5) Danielle Lloyd has a long history in the WAG hall of fame, with former flames including Jermain Defoe and Teddy Sheringham. But she is currently settled with Portsmouth midfielder Jamie O'Hara, and this video shows exactly why he is so enamoured with Ms Lloyd.

6) Nancy Dell'Olio's Italian charm was enough to snare Sven Goran Eriksson, but here she comes over all Michael Howard as she tries, and fails, to explain herself to Jeremy Paxman in an unlikely appearance on Newsnight. We're with Paxo on this one: what is she blathering on about?

7) Real Madrid midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart recently said of his wife Sylvie: “When I look at her, I think to myself ‘I did pretty damn good to manage to get her!’” No arguments there Rafa. Ding dong.

8) Kate Lawler will always be remembered for two things, winning Big Brother and dating Jonathan Woodgate. But she also presented the instantly forgettable breakfast show RI:SE, and here she is adding her own intellectual insight into this discussion on satellites. "How do they launch a new satellite?" she asks, before repeating the answer incredulously: "On a rocket?"

9) Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson made herself the envy of girls everywhere when she won the heart of Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronnie has of course moved on to pastures new but at least Gemma's still around, and frankly, if we were only able to keep one of them on these shores, it would be her.

10) We finish with a clip of MirrorFootball's favourite WAG ever: the brilliantly named Nives Celcius. Wife of Croatia's Dino Drpic, Nives is notorious for having sex on the centre spot of the Maksimir Stadium, Zagreb, where the Croats later beat England 2-0. As she demonstrates in this clip, she's clearly not backward about coming forward on camera either. Check out that shimmy!
