The Plugger vs...Mark Blundell

You know how it is with celebrities these days - they're always trying to flog you something. Well, we thought it was about time they did something for us in return.

So, from now on, anyone wanting to hawk their wares on the pages of MirrorFootball will have to submit to an interrogation by The Plugger first.

If you want us to buy your DVD/book/video game/embossed tea-towel etc, then you need to tell us, amongst other things, if you've ever had sex in a football shirt. Seems like a fair deal, no?

Facing The Plugger today is: former F1 driver, Arsenal fan and sports management guru, Mark Blundell.

1) Who is the dirtiest player you've ever seen?
Julian Dicks. He always seem to be in the wrong place at the right time on the pitch, need I say more...?

2) What team do you have an irrational hatred of?
Chelsea. My fellow director Jimmy Carter at 2mb Soccer Management is a mad Blues supporter, which is annoying as they are too good! It can be a quiet office at times.

3) What's the weirdest place you've ever watched football?
Milan's San Siro Stadium. We were so high up in the cheap seats it was like watching a Subbuteo match.

4) If you could change one thing about the game, what would it be?
I would introduce goal line technology. We need it now as there is too much resting on every game for a result to be unjust. Other sports are getting ahead.

5) Have you ever had a man-crush on a player?
Um..NO.....! Now if you said the Gunners ladies team... well that’s different!

6) If all the current Premier League managers had a cage fight, who would be the last man standing?
Alex McLeish looks like he could cope. The cage fight would be a fantastic promotion! Maybe it can be arranged for pre season!

7) Who is the Don of football commentators and pundits?
Martin Tyler and Andy Gray are a great partnership, the sunshine guy and the technical experience from the former player. Sky football is first rate, but keep an eye on ESPN....

8) What's the best dream you've ever had about football?
I played for the Gunners, but the ladies team. Get it? Now that's weird!

9) If you had your own football team, what would their nickname be?
Blunders United, my team would be full of them, match after match......

10) What's your keepy-up record? And are you any good at football video games?
About 20 is my maximum keepy-ups. The video games, I don’t do. I haven't enough time in the day and prefer to watch the real deal.

11) Have you ever cried because of a football match?
Yeah, only when cutting onions whilst watching in in the kitchen. Please, crying over grown men...

12) Have you ever lied to your partner to go and watch football?
Several times. I have blanked important meetings too, but only to watch my boys at Arsenal, or our main guy at 2mb, Jermain Defoe.

13) Who's the biggest **** in football?
No comment! I don’t believe there is any reason to be rude. Everyone will judge and have an opinion, but its always easy to slate from the armchair.

14) What were your football superstitions?
I don’t have any I'm afraid. I'm Mr Boring on that front. If I were driving a race car it would be different, but that’s yesteryear!

15) What's the best goal you've ever scored?
When I was in the under 14s team as a kid. I chipped the keeper, my only memory of playing football. I soon found out I needed to be doing a sport on my own as I couldn't handle ten other guys not giving the ball to me.

16) What's the worst away trip you've ever been on?
Man United. I had a lift on a private plane from a mate. It was pure luxury, beer and grub! Then fog rolled in and the plane was grounded. The mini cab home in the early hours was cramped with five men and the bill came to £350! It just reminded me never to buy a private jet!

17) What goal have you celebrated the most?
As recent as this week, at the Gunners v Porto game after the Sammy Nasri goal. I leapt in the air with a cup of coffee in my mate's private box and delivered the coffee over the guy next door. Not good! I did offer to pay the dry cleaning bill but things were a little strained from then on in. It was worth it though as it was a super bit of magic.

18) Has a football kit ever featured in your intimate moments?
Well... I keep going back to the Gunners ladies team. And as for that Dennis Berkamp outfit I bought my Mrs......

19) Have you ever supported another team apart from Arsenal?
Nope. I was born in Barnet and most of my family are from Islington. I'd watched training as a kid on the astro turf. I've always been a Gooner!

20) What is the king of football food?
Still has to be the donuts on the way back form the game on route to the train station. Followed closely by the sweets stall. Two bags for a pound, pink shrimps and bananas..heaven!

Former F1 and Le Mans driver Mark now runs his own driver management business, 2mb, and has recently expanded into football. Clients of 2mb Soccer Management of now include Tottenham and England striker Jermain Defoe. Got to www.2mbsm.com for more information.
