10 things you need to know about Milan Jovanovic plus video of him in action
Former Standard Liege hitman Milan Jovanovic has finally completed his move to Liverpool .
After all this fuss, just how good is he? MirrorFootball gives you your essential need to know about 29-year-old Milan...
1) The 6ft Serb was born on April 18, 1981 in a small town called Cacak.
2) The striker has had spells at Shakhtar Donetsk and Lokomotiv Moscow, but he has spent the majority of his career at Standard Liege - making 116 league appearances and scoring 52 goals.
3) He is a regular starter for his country Serbia winning 29 caps and scoring 10 goals. The total includes a sparkling brace against Romania during the qualifying campaign for this Summer's World Cup in South Africa.
4) He is known to be somewhat of a free-kick specialist, and he has been Liege's top goal-scorer for the past three seasons.
5) Roy Hodgson will have to work hard to calm him down though, as he has something of a short fuse, and is clearly not afraid to stand up for himself if this clip below is anything to go by.
6) Standard will be upset to lose Milan as he has become a cult figure among the Belgium press and public for his lively interviews like this one.
7) Since being at Liege he has won the Belgian First Division twice and the Belgian Super Cup twice.
8) He won the Belgian Footballer of the Year award in 2008 and won the Belgian Golden Shoe award for top scorer in 2009.
9) He's already well known to the German team - he scored the only goal in Sebia's 1-0 win over Die Mannschaft in their Group D clash at the World Cup (see the goal below). Sadly, the three points Serbia earned from that victory were the only ones they picked up, and they finished up bottom of the group, and on the way home.
10) Finally, here is an extended look at what Milan can do in front of goal.
