Top 10 things you need to know about Luis Fabiano - plus video of him in action
Blackburn are plotting a £10m bid for Tottenham target Luis Fabiano.
But why are Rovers and Spurs fighting over him? Here's what you need to know and the 30-year-old hitman.
1) Luis Fabiano Clemente was born on November 8, 1980 in Campinas, Sao Paulo.
2) He started out at local Campinas club Ponte Preta, but made his name after signing for successful Série A club Sao Paulo in 2001.
3) While at Sao Paulo, Fabiano became infamous for fighting on the pitch. His most notorious bust up came during a Copa Sudamericana match against Argentina's River Plate in 2003. Our hero karate-kicked a member of the opposition just below the neck, sending his victim to hospital.
4) He moved to Europe at the start of the 2004-05 season, joining Porto for a fee believed to be in the region of €10m. Fabiano had a troubled first season, both on and off the pitch. He scored just three times all season and then, in March 2005, his mother was kidnapped by gunmen in Campinas. Police eventually rescued her 61 days later.
5) A move to La Liga and Sevilla in the close season proved much more productive, with Fabiano averaging almost a goal every other game over the course of his five seasons to date. Although the average was helped somewhat by his astoundingly prolific 2007-08 season, in which the Brazilian netted 24 times in 30 league appearances (and got another eight in 10 European games).
6) He's won two Copa del Reys (2007, 2010) and back-to-back UEFA Cups (2006, 2007) with Sevilla. Middlesbrough fans may well remember the one that set Seville on their way to a 4-0 UEFA Cup Final victory in Eindhoven.
7) Fabiano made his debut for the Brazilian national team in 2003, and was part of the 2004 Copa America winning side. He's since won a total of 43 caps for Brazil and scored 28 goals, including this one from an astoundingly acute angle against Uruguay.
8) At the 2009 Confederations Cup, Fabiano notched five goals in five games, and his brace launched the fightback which saw Brazil come from behind to beat the USA in the final. It also saw the 28-year-old pick up the Golden Boot. Fabiano also started as Brazil's first-choice striker in the 2010 World Cup and scored three goals - although admittedly his second against the Ivory Coast only came after not one but two handballs...
9) There's no denying he knows where the goal is, though. Check out this mouth-watering compilation of Fabiano's Top 15 goals ever:
10) But it's the Brazilian's talent for handbags that we're most excited about. Check this footage of his 'fight' with Real Zaragoza's Diogo for proof.
Or this one (about 1:45 into the clip) with Barcelona's Sergio Busquets, after which Fabiano had to be physically restrained by Sevilla staff.
Let's hope he comes up against Lee Bowyer next season…
