They said it wouldn't last, and it looks as though it won't. Sven Goran Eriksson , who claimed he was in it for the long haul at Notts County , now appears he will be the latest to leave Meadow Lane. The former England boss is wanted as the national coach of his home country, Sweden , and has a "gentlemen's agreement" with Country supremo Peter Trembling that allows him to talk to interested parties. Also heading for passport control is Robinho . The Manchester City maverick will be allowed to leave Eastlands for Barcelona in January, providing City can agree a deal with Bayern Munich to sign Frenchman Franck Ribery as his replacement. (Daily Mail)

Sheffield United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny will use Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro's escape from a drugs ban as part of his defence in Tuesday's appeal against a nine-month suspension for taking prohibited substance ephedrine.
