Sergio Aguero, Aaron Lennon and Chelsea's Top 10 January transfer targets now ban is lifted
Chelsea are officially back in transfer business after their two-window ban was lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport pending an appeal.
The ruling means the Blues will almost certainly be big spenders in the January window, stockpiling talent which would have to see them through until summer 2011 if the worst happen.
But who will they choose? Here Football Spy's Darren Lewis takes you through their most likely targets...
Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid ) Chelsea have been consistently linked with him over the past few months as they seek African Nations cover for Didier Drogba. Chances of Chelsea signing him: 4 out of 5

Gary Cahill (Bolton) Would provide much-needed cover in central defence and fits in with Blues director of football Frank Arnesen's philosophy of keeping a British core to the team. Bolton, heavily in debt, would bow down before Roman Abramovich's wallet. Chances: 3/5
Goran Pandev (Lazio) Has fallen out with his Italian club and they will be eager to sell him before his contract expires in the summer. Chances: 3/5

Jack Rodwell (Everton ) Already linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, the 18-year-old is versatile enough to play in central midfield or the middle of defence. Chances: 3/5
Angel de Maria (Benfica) Manchester United and Liverpool are already looking at the man Diego Maradona is tipping to become a global superstar - and Chelsea are always keen to gazump their rivals. Chances: 4/5

James Milner (Aston Villa) Young, English and versatile. Can fill in at left-back, as he did for England recently. Chances: 2/5
Patrick Vieira (Inter Milan) Needs a move to guarantee his World Cup place - he was dropped from France's qualifying squad - and could get a chance to shine while Michael Essien is at the African Nations Cup. Chances: 4/5

Aaron Lennon (Spurs) Arnesen is a long-term admirer of the speedy right winger, who looks to have fallen out with Harry Redknapp after refusing tom play on against Stoke. Chances: 3/5
David Villa (Valencia) Spanish club's money worries mean they may have to cash in on him partner David Silva. Again, a move for him would put United's noses out of joint and test whether the Glazers will spend any more of the Ronaldo cash. Chances: 4/5

Ashley Young (Aston Villa) Arnesen loves him and Young appears to be ready to move on in the summer. Would fill a Chelsea hole down the right. Chances: 3/5
