Carry on Wenger: 10 managerial Methuselahs he has to beat
He might be approaching the age when most people are thinking of taking a cruise in dodgy leisurewear, spending more time in the garden or putting their feet up with a bag of Werther's Originals and the Antiques Roadshow , but Arsene Wenger says he has no plans to retire .
Now approaching his 60th birthday, the Arsenal boss has declared he isn't about to put his tracksuit in the wardrobe for the last time.
"I don't believe in retiring unless you have to," he told a League Managers Association conference. "I have never had a day when I think I could live without football."
But despite reaching bus-pass age, Wenger is still a spring poulet compared to some veterans of the technical area. Here, MirrorFootball names 10 managerial Methuselahs, and their landmark achievements that Wenger has still to beat.
