John Terry's delighted with a clean sheet, plus nine other things we learned from watching Chelsea v Arsenal

1) Arsene Wenger is without doubt one of the best managers in Premier League history. But judging by his frontline at the Bridge - Walcott, Arshavin and Nasri (average height 5ft 9in) - he's been taking selection tips from Ken Dodd. Diddy not see last week's game against Man United?

2) Radio 5 Live's summariser Graham Taylor described the opening 60 seconds by saying: "We've just had, in the first minute, end to end play." The ball, however, barely touched the floor. And who ever said Taylor's Watford were a long-ball team?

3) Whatever you might think of Didier Drogba - and let's be fair he ain't everyone's cup of tea - he is one of the best strikers in the country. So probably not the best idea to leave him all alone in acres of space in the penalty area a yard from goal then, eh?

4) Good job Sky weren't broadcasting from west London in 3D - Petr Cech's lime green socks probably would have blinded some folk.

5) Need any more convincing that Arsenal won't win the Premier League? The Gunners played keep ball for about 15 minutes after Drogba's early goal, passing pretty patterns around their rivals in blue and making their opponents chase shadows. Then Chelsea picked the ball up on the edge of their box and, two passes and about seven seconds later, Drogba smashed in a second goal. 'Merde', as Arsene might say...

6) After everything he's been through this week, how fitting that John Terry should be rewarded with a clean sheet.

7) Arsene Wenger said earlier this season that "Drogba doesn't do a lot, but he's efficient in what he does". Well, if you're gonna be a one-trick pony, Drogba's aint a bad trick to have.

8) John Murray could have chosen a better turn of phrase for Chelsea's ascent back to the Premier League summit, suggesting on 5 Live that the Blues would be happy to be back on top after "Manchester United spent the night there". Does their wife know...?

9) Hollywood star Matt Damon was among the spectators at Stamford Bridge. Currently starring as South Africa's rugby World Cup winning captain Francois Pienaar in Invictus , perhaps he was being lined up for a similar role as John Terry's double in the story of England's glorious triumph in the Rainbow Nation. But versatile as he is, pulling off a convincing Rio Ferdinand could be a stretch even for him. Maybe he'd better in a re-make of Sex, Lies and Videotape ...?

10) Sadly, those of you had a tenner on the Chelsea DJ playing The Cars' 1970s hit 'My Best Friend's Girl' as the players left the pitch lost your money. I don't know, some people have got no sense of humour...
