MirrorFootball's Premier League team of the week
After another exciting weekend in England's top flight, this is MirrorFootball's Premier League team of the week - those players that have been a cut above for their teams this weekend.
Steve Simonson kept a clean sheet at White Hart Lane as Stoke pulled off an impressive 1-0 away win against Tottenham Hotspur, thanks to Glenn Whelan's goal, Abdoulaye Faye's defending and James Beattie's running up front.
Jamie Carragher put recent doubts about his ability to still cut it at the top firmly to rest with a dominant performance against Manchester United, ably assisted by Glen Johnson at right back, while Fernando Torres showed yet again why he is one of the most dangerous strikers in the world with a great finish to open the scoring for Liverpool in their 2-0 win.
Frank Lampard and Joe Cole pulled the midfield strings for Chelsea as they hammered Blackburn on Saturday.
Lampard bagged two goals while Cole - making his first Premier League start for 10 months - was outstanding and was even described as a "genius' by his manager Carlo Ancelotti after the match.
Lastly Wigan's Hugo Rodallega scored twice as the Latics came from behind to beat Burnley 3-1 and become the first Premier League side to win at Turf Moor this season.
