Sandro Who? Everything you need to know about the Tottenham target but were afraid to ask

Tottenham are set for a £14million New Year transfer raid for Brazilian wonder-kid Sandro. But who exactly is the Internacional youngster?

MirrorFootball's Sam Rogan fills in the details...

1) His full name is Sandro Ranieri Guimaraes Cordeiro. Luckily, he prefers Sandro!

2) Born on March 15, 1989, he is a defensive midfielder.

3) A former Brazil Under-20 captain, he made his senior debut as a substitute in last month's World Cup qualifying game against Chile.

4) He currently plays in his home country for Internacional, the team that won the FIFA Club World Cup in 2006, beating Barcelona in the final in Yokohama.

5) Although he is being talked about as  'the next big thing', Sandro only broke into Internacional's first team earlier this year. He's now made more than 30 appearances, scoring one goal - which you can see below.

6) Tottenham first tried to buy Sandro back in August, but the move was blocked due to work permit regulations.

7) Sandro is known for his ruthless tackling and amazing stamina. So he should be right at home in the Premier League.

8) Tottenham will want to wrap up a deal for the 20-year-old as soon as possible, but they face competition for the youngster's signature. Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all on his trail.
