Whatever happened to the Crazy Gang?
Dean Holdsworth is carving a new career for himself in management at non-league Newport County. What happened to the rest of his Crazy Gang pals, though? MirrorFootball investigates...
Dave Beasant
First goalkeeper to save a penalty in an FA Cup Final when he saved John Aldridge’s kick in 1988. Went on to play for Chelsea, Southampton and Nottingham Forest and has been a senior coach at the Glenn Hoddle Academy since 2008.
Clive Goodyear
Helped Luton to the Second Division title in 1982 before moving to the Dons, where he conceded the penalty that Beasant saved in the 1988 FA Cup final. He moved to Brentford and after hanging up his boots he was a physio at Luton, Cardiff and Chester. He now has a practise in Milton Keynes.
Terry Phelan
Moved to Chelsea and Everton after FA Cup heroics and ended his playing career in America with Charleston Battery. Moved to New Zealand in 2005 and is currently the coach of Otago United.
Vinnie Jones
One of the leading members of the Crazy Gang is now a multi-millionaire film star. A resident of Mulholland Drive, Los Angeles, Jones has starred in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Mean Machine and reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother.

Also assistant manager to Micky Adams at Leicester City and had roles as a scout and reserve team manager at Bolton Wanderers before leaving in January 2010.
John Fashanu
The England striker remained at Wimbledon until 1994 before having a short spell at Aston Villa. Since retiring in 1994, he has appeared as a contestant on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ as well as being an ambassador for UNICEF. He also heads the John Fashanu Charity Trust.

Lawrie Sanchez
Managed Wycombe Wanderers before taking over as Northern Ireland coach, where he masterminded shock 1-0 win over England in Euro 2008 qualifying. Kept Fulham in the Premier League while manager during 2006/2007 but was sacked after poor start the following season and has not managed since.
