Michael Owen's physio is the new Nostradamus and Pompey's administrator plays to the fans
By Steve Anglesey, Sports Diarist of the Year nominee 2010
Now the John Terry affair is finally over, Fabio Capello can breathe a huge sigh of relief, knowing that none of his senior players will ever do anything daft again.
Which makes you wonder how Don Fabio will react to the news that one player has been touting the notion of a Three Lions poker tournament around sponsors and TV channels.
The gormless lad reckons millions will tune in to watch millionaires gambling in a South Africa send-off he believes will equal the Beckhams’ star-studded World Cup bash in 2006.
Good luck explaining that one to Capello.

Publicity-shy Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou is making the most of his time in the limelight.
Andronikou has taken over the Pompey programme page previously occupied by chief executive Peter Storrie, and has quickly picked up all the role’s conventions, telling supporters: “We had a brilliant result away at Burnley last week… let's show what this club means to the city. Play up Pompey!"
If Portsmouth do go all the way to the May final, will Andronikou do a Peter Kenyon and lead the players up the steps to collect their medals?

John Green, the consultant physiotherapist who helped Michael Owen put together his 32-page brochure to prospective employers last summer, is the new Nostradamus.
In it Green wrote: “The following are my thoughts on Michael Owen's so-called ‘injury-prone’ status - a statement I consider to be a nonsense… Under my supervision Michael has not had any recurrence of his hamstring issues… In my opinion, he will play at the highest level for many years - trouble free!"
