Fergie snubs Becks... and he's not Kidding, plus City stars are United in error

Brian Kidd, Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man during his first successes at Manchester United, is rarely mentioned by his old gaffer after having the temerity to leave for the Blackburn manager’s job in 1998.
Last week Kidd hinted at Ferguson’s tendency to dismiss the importance of those he's left behind, telling the Sunday Mirror : "Sometimes old players are air-brushed out of a club's history."
Bang on cue three days later, Fergie’s programme notes for the Milan game ran to 800 words… but didn’t include the words ‘David Beckham’.

Manchester City’s Stephen Ireland and Adam Johnson were the celebrity guests of the legendarily bibulous Prestwich and Whitefield supporters’ club at their branch meeting last week.
During the Q&A, United target Ireland was asked to name his favourite player and their favourite goal – and delighted the partisan Blues by naming Eric Cantona as his idol and his goal against Sunderland as his favourite.
Sensibly, new boy Johnson avoided all mention of the flying Frenchman – and, to a chorus of boos, went for Ryan Giggs and his Cup winner against Arsenal!
