Millwall in new shirt spelling gaffe, Carlton's not 'Appy and N'Gog chant of the week

Millwall have sold out of the club's new dark blue shirt, which marks the club's 125th anniversary. But it could all have been so very different.

The club's old motto, 'We Fear No Foe', is stitched on the back. However, due to a mix-up, the first 5,000 jerseys bore the intimidating warning 'We Fear No Foo' and had to be hastily shipped back to the supplier.

Not the best launch for Carlton Cole's own iPhone App.

First, its football tutorials arrive in the week Carlton demonstrated how not to take a penalty against Bolton.

And second, the accompanying blurb promises the app will be "no holes barred" - which might make it popular with a market Cole wasn't expecting.

CHANTS FOR PIES

Manchester United fans were close to this week's prize by greeting their third goal against Newcastle with cries of "He's coming back, He's coming back... Shearer's coming back".

But undisputed winners are Liverpool supporters for their new chant in praise of goal machine David N'gog, which uses the chorus of the Beatles' Hello Goodbye to joke about the twin pronunciations of the Frenchman's surname.

It goes:¨ "N'Gog, N'Go, I don't know why you say N'Gog¨, I say N'Go."

Email the funniest chant you've heard at football this week to steve.anglesey@mirror.co.uk together with your name, address and choice of cheese & onion, potato & meat, chicken balti, chicken & mushroom, steak & kidney or all-steak flavours.
