'With Harry, two plus two always makes five, not three': The week's daftest football quotes
Over a year after his unhappy exit from Sky, Richard Keys is pretty much over the whole thing. Well, almost.
“Too many of you know nothing of what happened,” he insisted on Twitter this week, telling a correspondent “you swallowed what you were fed” and moaning about “all the s**t we've taken”.
Most extraordinary, the Coventry wolfman added: “The originator of the phrase 'smash it' was Jamie Redknapp” – appearing to suggest that ventroliquism may rank alongside incorrect use of the word ‘literally’ among Redknapp junior’s many talents.
Indeed, Keysie and Graysie are so keen to put the offensive catchphrase behind them that the flier advertising their after-dinner speaking career carried the headline ‘Smash It!’ and includes the phrase “call now to talk about booking them – and end your evening with a smash!”

Liverpool finally sorting out the animal who has brought them so many headlines over recent days.
Of course we’re talking about the Anfield Cat, who made a memorable appearance in the dull draw against Tottenham Hostpur. Staff at the ground have been instructed not to feed the feline lest it makes regular reappearances.
As they used to chant on Merseyside: “Moggy, moggy, moggy – out, out out”.

It wasn’t just Manchester United fanzine Red Issue which was controversially seized on Saturday.
One policeman – who supports neither United or Liverpool – reveals that, possibly in the interests of balance, he was instructed to keep an eye on the away fans and confiscate pieces of paper with ‘5’ written on them.
