Emile Heskey's loyalty should begin and end with Villa

When Emile Heskey was with England he was quoted as saying he'd have to leave Aston Villa to ensure his ticket to South Africa.
When he returned to his club he said he was misquoted, and that he's happy to sit on the bench.
The truth is somewhere in between.
He's not the first to make such noises (think Ryan Babel) and he won't be the last. It's become the norm for any player who gets a run of games for his country but gets dropped by his club to trot out a new take on an old John F. Kennedy sentiment: "Ask yourself not what you can do for your club but what playing for them can do for your chances with your country."
I'd just remind them who pays their wages and let them grow splinters on their jaxeys.
