Why Liverpool must get rid of Rafa Benitez or Rick Parry now, by Stan Collymore

Liverpool may still be second but the ongoing fiasco surrounding manager Rafa Benitez's proposed new contract has cast a huge shadow over the club.

Personally I think Rafa's infamous rant about Manchester United put paid to Liverpool's title hopes. But the continuing uncertainty over the Spaniard's future is yet another unwelcome distraction.

He moans he wants total control of the club's transfer policy and Anfield no longer appears big enough for both him and chief executive Rick Parry. It needs sorting now.
