Revealed: The first interview with new Leicester boss Sven

After Sven Goran Eriksson's shock return to English football at Leicester, this column can reveal the details of an interview with the new Foxes boss.

In a typically passionate defence of his record, the fiery Swede insisted he is at the Walkers Stadium for the long haul.

"Well, I am very happy to be back in England as the new manager of Manchester, sorry Leicester City," he said.

"It has always been my dream since I first drove up the M1 to Notts County, passed Leicester and realised they had a football team to manage there.

"I will not make the same mistake as I did at Notts County and I have checked up on Leicester to make sure someone there has enough money to pay my wages.

"I am glad they seem to have plenty of money for new players because there is no way I would have come here otherwise.

"I would also like to make clear my commitment to Notts County, sorry Ivory Coast, ah yes, Leicester.

"I have signed a rolling two-week contract and I can assure the club's fans that I will be here come Halloween.

"In a further sign of my commitment to Leicester, I packed my weekend bag rather than just my overnight bag before coming here.

"I can't wait to fly to Thailand with the players and it's nice to be working for a Thai who has faith in you.

"I did some scouting to eye up Leicester's talent during the game against Scunthorpe and I must say I did spot a rather attractive brunette and a lovely blond behind the away goal. The Foxes is a good name for the club and they were certainly foxy.

"Once again I will leave Tord Grip to take most of the training and I do not want to let the rain ruin my latest haircut. At £500, that works out at nearly £10 a hair and I can't afford to let it get wrecked at that price.

"I have also brought along my book of bedtime stories for my half-time teamtalks and Goldilocks and the Three Bears was always Becks' favourite.

"I am already looking forward to our derby match with the Leicester Tigers and bringing success to the club.

"It is great that I am back in management and I know some people say I have not won anything for a decade.

"That reminds me of a quote by Abraham Lincoln and he once said you can fool some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all the time. Really? I'm not so sure!

"Now, who was that lovely young lady who just walked past a second ago?"
